It’s a sad day…

I can’t find my badge. I think I might just die.

Because I just purchased three bottles of wine. Trust me—I needed them.

Srat happy for a Merry Christmas

Loves, I have a confession: I love Christmas.  It is the grande dame of holidays, and I treat the season with reverence.

In the interest of livening up ye olde tumblog, I bring you the Sratitude Christmas playlist. This is a playlist I have wanted to post for a while, but picking the ten songs I think really capture my impression of the holidays was tough.  Although five days late, I do hope you like it.

I have based my selections on the overall quality of the song, it’s presence in the Christmas music canon, it’s ability to be sung loudly while drinking rum with a dash of eggnog, and the overall (subjectively graded) sratitude of the piece.  Enjoy, and shots all around

A VERY SRATTY CHRISTMAS
1) All I Want for Christmas is You, Mariah Carey
2) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Judy Garland
3) Lo, How a Rose Ere Blooming, Sufjan Stevens
4) Grown Up Christmas List, Amy Grant
5) Santa Baby, Eartha Kitt
6) Merry Christmas, Darling, The Carpenters
7) My Only Wish (This Year), Britney Spears
8) The Holly and the Ivy, The Choir of Kings College
9) Believe, Josh Groban
10) It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, Sixpence None the Richer

New favorite.  I have said it before: Betty and I are soul mates.

I love love love my letters.

Family is family.

No I won’t tell you what it all means.

Throw what you know.

As a moderator, sometimes I make myself laugh, and that’s okay, too.

I hate putting away my white dresses, though.
